Loom sells four plans, and every paid one is priced per user. I read Loom's pricing pages on loom.com and atlassian.com, ran their pricing calculators, and read Loom's help center on 27 October 2026. In US dollars: Starter is free for 25 videos of up to five minutes each, Business is $18 a user a month or $180 a year, Business + AI is $24 or $240, and Enterprise is a quote sold on annual terms only.
Annual billing saves up to 17%. Read that "up to" twice. From 26 users the yearly price comes in tiers, and 101 users pay the same as 200, so on Loom's own calculator a team of 101 to about 160 people pays less over a year on monthly billing. Know your head count before you touch the toggle.
Loom pricing in five lines (October 2026)
- Four plans, US prices read 27 October 2026: Starter free, Business $18 a user a month or $180 a year, Business + AI $24 or $240, Enterprise by annual quote.
- Free stops at 25 videos of five minutes each, and a new free workspace holds 10 people.
- AI is a $6 step up on monthly billing ($5 a month on annual), sold to every paid seat or none. Auto titles are free on every plan.
- Annual saves up to 17%, but the tiers bite: 101 users pay the same $31,500 a year for Business as 200 do, so on Loom's own calculator, between about 101 and 160 users, monthly costs less over a year.
- Students and teachers get up to 75% off, and nonprofits up to 25 free seats on annual billing. The old free education plan is closed to new applicants.
How I read Loom's prices
Loom now has two pricing pages, one on loom.com and one on atlassian.com. On 27 October 2026 I read both, ran each page's calculator at team sizes from 1 to 300, and read more than twenty articles in Loom's help center, which has moved to support.atlassian.com. The two calculators returned identical totals at every team size I ran.
I opened no account. Loom's sign-up page redirects to an Atlassian sign-up screen, so every team total in this post is a calculator figure, and I saw no checkout, tax line or invoice. The same day I read Atlassian's Teamwork Collection, discount and refund pages, plus the pricing pages of Zight, Tella and Vidyard.
Atlassian agreed to buy Loom in October 2023; Loom announced the deal in a post titled "Loom is joining Atlassian". Sign-ups on loom.com now go through an Atlassian account, and Loom's help center says any account created after February 2026 is integrated with Atlassian's systems, so Atlassian's rules are the ones that apply to you.
Loom plans at a glance
Here is every plan per user, in US dollars, as of 27 October 2026. Both pricing pages print the same numbers.
| Plan | Billed monthly, per user | Billed yearly, per user | What it adds | Main limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $0 | $0 | Screen recording, unlimited screenshots, meeting recording, auto titles | 25 videos per person, 5-minute recordings, 720p, up to 10 users |
| Business | $18 | $180 ($15 a month) | Unlimited videos and recording time, up to 4K, trim and stitch, no Loom branding | No AI beyond auto titles |
| Business + AI | $24 | $240 ($20 a month) | Auto summaries and chapters, AI editing, meeting notes and recaps, Record for agents | Sold to every paid seat or none |
| Enterprise | Not offered | Quote | SSO and SCIM with Atlassian Guard Standard, custom data retention, Salesforce integration, 99.95% uptime SLA | No published price |
Loom's pricing pages on atlassian.com and loom.com, plan cards, compare grid and calculator, read 27 October 2026. The $15 and $20 monthly equivalents are my arithmetic ($180 and $240 divided by 12).
The page sets one trap of its own. Both versions open on Monthly with the team-size box at 100, so flip to Annually without touching the box and the Business card reads "$18,000 per year". Set the team size to 1 to see $180 and $240.

Is Loom free? Yes, until your 26th video
Starter costs $0 as of October 2026. Each person on it gets:
- 25 videos, and archived videos count toward the 25.
- Five-minute screen recordings. In the words of Loom's help center, "the timer will start at 5:00 and count down until you reach 0:00, at which point your recording will end."
- 720p video quality.
- Unlimited screenshots, which do not count toward the video limit.
- Meeting recording with no length limit. The Loom Notetaker joins Zoom, Google Meet and Teams calls and stores the recording in Loom.
- Auto titles, the one AI feature on every plan, plus transcriptions in 50+ languages.
Your videos never expire. Reach 25 and you keep every one of them; you just cannot record a new video until you delete some or upgrade.
A free workspace created after February 2026 holds 10 people, not the 50 that loom.com still prints.
The Starter card on loom.com still says "Up to 50 Members". Atlassian's page allows up to 10 users in a free workspace, and Loom's Starter FAQ agrees: "If your Loom account is integrated with Atlassian systems then you will be limited to 10 users under the Starter free plan." Every account created after February 2026 is integrated.
Older free workspaces with more than 10 members have to trim or upgrade as they move over. If the admin does nothing, Loom keeps all admins plus the most recently active members up to 10, and says of the rest: "Their content is not deleted."
Business at $18: unlimited recording, and AI stops at titles
Atlassian's card sells Business, at $18 a user a month or $180 a year ($15 a month) as of October 2026, as "unlimited videos and basic editing", and the editing means trimming and stitching clips on a waveform.
Over Starter, the compare grid adds HD up to 4K, your logo and player colors with the Loom branding removed, password-protected videos, engagement insights you can export, three spaces on top of the all-company one, and priority support. Loom's help center adds one catch: the Chrome extension cannot record HD on Business, so you need the desktop app for that.
Recording time is unlimited, per the pricing page and the help article "How long can I record?", updated 9 October 2026. The Chrome extension "will check in with you after two hours to make sure you're still intentionally recording". Two older help articles, from April and June 2026, still say six hours.
What Business leaves out is AI. Auto titles work on every plan; summaries, chapters, AI editing, meeting recaps and Record for agents all need Business + AI.
Business + AI at $24: what the extra $6 buys
Business + AI costs $24 a user a month, or $240 a year ($20 a month), as of October 2026, and Atlassian's card marks it "Most popular". The extra $6 a month buys:
- Auto summaries and chapters on each new video.
- AI workflows, which draft a document, message or Jira bug report from your video.
- Filler-word and silence removal, plus editing a video by editing its transcript.
- Automatic meeting notes and recap emails.
- Record for agents, in open beta, which turns a screen recording into instructions for an AI agent; Loom names Rovo or Claude. Recordings stop at five minutes, with the camera off.
- Overlays and admin insights.
Timing matters here. Loom's AI features article, updated 11 October 2026, says auto summaries, chapters and tasks "can only be applied to videos recorded after purchasing Business + AI or Enterprise." Filler-word removal and AI workflows do reach older videos. Your back catalogue gets no summaries.
Business + AI's $20 a month on yearly billing matches Notion's Business plan, which lists $20 a member a month on yearly billing, as of 27 October 2026; my Notion AI pricing explainer covers the rest.
Loom sells AI to the whole workspace or to nobody.
Neither pricing page offers an AI add-on. AI comes as a plan, and the plan covers every paid seat. Loom's upgrade article asks, "Can I upgrade to Loom Business + AI for only part of my team, and keep the rest of my team under a Business plan?" Its answer: "No, the Loom Business + AI price is determined by the number of paid seats (Creators/Admins) you have within your Workspace." Every paid seat then gets "unlimited usage of AI features".
So AI costs $6 a user a month on monthly billing, or $60 a user a year on annual, by my arithmetic, times everyone. On the annual calculator, read 27 October 2026, 20 users pay $3,600 for Business and $4,800 for Business + AI. That is $1,200 a year more, whether two people want summaries or all twenty do.
Annual billing saves up to 17%, and the user tiers decide the rest
The toggle badge says "SAVE UP TO 17%", and Atlassian's FAQ says "You can save 17% by choosing an Annual plan." For one user, on 27 October 2026 prices, that holds: $180 against $216 for twelve monthly Business bills saves $36, and $240 against $288 saves $48 on Business + AI. Both come to 16.7%, by my arithmetic.
Team size changes the picture. Up to 10 users, annual costs exactly $180 or $240 a head. From 11 to 25 the totals stay close to that but are rounded: 11 users pay $2,000 on Business, where straight multiplication gives $1,980. From 26 users the calculator labels each total with a user tier, and every head count inside a tier pays the tier price. Twenty-six users pay what 30 pay.
| Users | Business, per year | Business + AI, per year |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | $180 | $240 |
| 10 | $1,800 | $2,400 |
| 25 | $4,500 | $6,000 |
| 26 to 30 | $5,400 | $7,200 |
| 46 to 50 | $9,000 | $12,000 |
| 91 to 100 | $18,000 | $24,000 |
| 101 to 200 | $31,500 | $42,000 |
| 201 to 300 | $43,000 | $57,500 |
Atlassian's Loom pricing calculator on annual billing, US prices, read 27 October 2026; the loom.com calculator returned the same totals. Selected rows only, and from 26 users each row is one user tier.

One user past 100 adds $13,500 a year to a Business plan.
At 100 users, annual Business costs $18,000. Add one person and the calculator moves you into the 101 to 200 tier at $31,500, which is $13,500 more. Business + AI goes from $24,000 to $42,000, up $18,000. Loom's help center states the rule one tier higher: "When you add your 201st user, you move to the 201-300 user tier at a different total price."
A team of 101 pays the annual price of 200. Sitting at 95 and hiring? Plan around that number.
Between about 101 and 160 users, twelve monthly bills cost less than the annual tier.
Monthly billing above 100 users runs on different math. Loom's help center says "Monthly plans with 100+ users get volume discounts per paid seat", and on 27 October 2026 the monthly card's per-user price fell as the team grew: $17.96 at 101 users, $16.50 at 150 and $15.75 at 200 on Business ($23.94, $22 and $21 on Business + AI). By my arithmetic, that is $18 for each of the first 100 users and $13.50 for each one after, or $24 and $18 on Business + AI. Twelve of those bills against the annual tier, on Business:
- 101 users: $21,762 a year on monthly billing against $31,500 annual. Monthly wins by $9,738.
- 150 users: $29,700 against $31,500, so monthly by $1,800.
- 200 users: $37,800 against the same $31,500, and annual wins by $6,300.
Break-even sits near 161 users on both plans. These are calculator numbers, not a checkout, and they assume a head count that holds for twelve months. Run the calculator at your own number before you sign the annual tier.
Who you pay for: every member, and nobody who only watches
Loom's billing FAQ, updated 28 April 2026, sets the rule: "Pricing for Business and Business + AI is based on the number of Creators/admins." Enterprise counts members and admins instead, at a custom rate that depends on volume.
The role list does the rest. Accounts created after February 2026 have only two roles, Admin and Creator, so on a paid plan every member is a paid user. People who only watch sit outside that count. A video set to "Anyone with a link can view" plays for people with no Loom account, and you can ask for or require an email before it does. Those viewers never join the workspace.
Older workspaces had a free seat called Creator Lite, and it is going away:
- At integration with Atlassian, "all Creator Lite users will be automatically upgraded to full Creator (paid user) status".
- You have until your next billing date to deactivate anyone you do not want to pay for. After that, they are billed as paid members.
- Legacy prices end as well. Loom's FAQ asks "Can I stay on my current pricing?" and answers "No." The list price applies from your first billing date after integration.
loom.com or atlassian.com: same prices, different fine print
Both pages are live and print the same prices. Their FAQs disagree on five points, as of 27 October 2026:
| Topic | loom.com/pricing | atlassian.com/software/loom/pricing |
|---|---|---|
| Free workspace | Up to 50 members | Up to 10 users |
| Free seats on paid plans | Creator Lite members alongside Creators | Unlimited users |
| Annual billing | Charged per distinct paid user | Charged by the tier closest to your user count |
| Refunds | A deactivated member's seat forfeits its fees for the rest of the cycle | Within the first paid month (monthly) or 30 days of payment (annual) |
| Payment | Credit card; ACH through sales | Monthly: card or PayPal. Annual: card, bank transfer or check |
Both Loom pricing pages and their FAQs, read 27 October 2026. Loom's help center matches the atlassian.com column on free workspace size, seats and annual tiers for every account created after February 2026.
New accounts follow the Atlassian column, whichever page you start on. The loom.com FAQ still says "Loom was acquired by Atlassian last year", and its annual billing answer is stamped "As of October 23, 2024", which tells you how old that copy is.
Three Loom bills, worked out
Three buyers, priced from the calculators on 27 October 2026. Every total is my arithmetic on the calculator's figures, before any sales tax.
- A solo creator. Starter costs $0 if 25 videos of five minutes cover you. Past that, Business is $18 a month or $180 a year, and Business + AI $24 or $240. A year paid up front saves $36 or $48.
- A five-person team. Business is $90 a month or $900 a year; Business + AI is $120 a month or $1,200 a year. Teamwork Collection Standard lists at $15 a user a month on monthly billing, with Jira and Confluence included. On annual billing, though, the collection calculator showed $1,500 a year at both 1 and 10 users, against $900 for five seats of Loom Business alone.
- A 150-person company. On monthly billing the calculator shows $16.50 a user for Business: $2,475 a month, or $29,700 over twelve months, against $31,500 for the annual 101 to 200 tier. Business + AI shows $22 a user, so $3,300 a month and $39,600 a year against $42,000. Monthly wins on both, by $1,800 and $2,400.
All three assume the seat count stays put. On monthly billing, Atlassian bills the most seats you had at any point in each cycle.
Discounts for students, teachers, nonprofits and open source
Atlassian publishes four discount programs that name Loom, as of 27 October 2026.
- Classroom license: 75% off Business and Business + AI for students and teachers.
- Academic license: 50% off for eligible institutions, on Enterprise too.
- Social Impact license: Business and Business + AI free for nonprofits up to 25 seats, annual billing only, with Enterprise at 50% off.
- Open source: Business and Business + AI free for public projects under an OSI-approved license.
Atlassian reserves the right to refuse any application, and to end an active discount at any time.
Students and teachers can get 75% off, but the free education plan is closed to new applicants.
Loom's education article sets the bar: teachers, professors and students at accredited institutions, aged 16 or older, applying with an institutional email. A personal address "will result in a rejected application or significant delays". Goodstack verifies you, and Loom says review happens "typically within a few business days". The article sizes the discount as "up to 50% off for general academic use or 75% off for specific classroom use on premium plans".
Teachers pricing the rest of their software can start with AI tools that take work off a teacher's plate, and students have a guide to AI tools for students, free tiers first. Two catches apply to Loom itself. "The legacy 'Free Education Plan' is no longer available to new applicants", so any page promising free Loom for students describes a plan you cannot join. And Education plans get no Business + AI trial.
Nonprofits get Loom Business free for up to 25 seats, on annual billing only.
The Social Impact license covers registered nonprofits and social enterprises that are non-governmental and non-political, verified by Goodstack. Atlassian's nonprofit page spells out the limit: "the 100% off discount on Jira, Loom, Confluence, and Teamwork Collection is only available on annual plans up to 25 seats". Business + AI is part of the free offer, and Atlassian puts approval at two to three days.
Monthly billing gets none of it. If you are comparing this with what other nonprofit discounts cost, line up the seat cap and the billing term before the percentage.
Teamwork Collection: Loom inside Atlassian's bundle
Atlassian sells Loom a second way, inside Teamwork Collection, next to Jira, Confluence and Rovo. The editions map onto Loom's plans, as of 27 October 2026:
- Free: Jira Free, Confluence Free and Loom Starter, "Free forever for 10 users".
- Standard, $15 a user a month: the Standard editions of Jira and Confluence, plus Loom Business.
- Premium, $29 a user a month: the Premium editions, plus Loom Business + AI.
- Enterprise: annual billing only, priced when you switch the page to annual.
Those per-user prices held at every size I ran on monthly billing (1, 10, 25 and 100 users); the page opens at 300 users, where it shows averages of $14.02 and $28.76. Standard lists below Loom Business alone, at $18, and adds Jira and Confluence. Premium costs $5 a user more than Business + AI and adds the Premium editions of both. On annual billing, here is how Standard compared with Loom Business at the team sizes I ran:
| Users | Teamwork Collection Standard, per year | Loom Business alone, per year |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | $1,500 | $180 |
| 10 | $1,500 | $1,800 |
| 25 | $3,750 | $4,500 |
| 100 | $15,000 | $18,000 |
Atlassian's Teamwork Collection and Loom pricing calculators on annual billing, US prices, read 27 October 2026. I ran the collection at 1, 10, 25 and 100 users only.
The bundle came out cheaper at 10, 25 and 100 users, and far dearer for one person. Loom's recording buttons inside Jira and Confluence menus and sidebars come only with accounts on Atlassian's systems, which every account created after February 2026 is.
What the sticker price leaves out
Per-seat pricing stays predictable until the head count moves; if you are weighing it against tools that meter usage, here is how per-seat and usage pricing compare. Six rules sit outside Loom's plan cards, from Atlassian's and Loom's own pages as of October 2026:
- The trial needs a payment method to continue. New workspaces get Business + AI free for 14 days, with no user cap during the trial. At the end, a workspace with a payment method on file is charged; without one, a workspace of 10 users or fewer drops to Starter, and a bigger one gets a 14-day grace period before Loom deactivates the plan.
- Refund windows are short: the first paid month after the trial on monthly billing, 30 days from payment on annual. Cancelling early earns nothing back for the rest of the cycle.
- Removed seats still cost you. Monthly plans use Maximum Quantity Billing: "Your bill is based on the highest number of seats ('maximum quantity') assigned to each product at any point during your billing cycle."
- Sales tax may be added, "in accordance with local regulations".
- Downgrading from Business + AI waits for the end of the billing cycle.
- Only Atlassian billing admins or org admins can cancel.
What the same money buys at Zight, Tella and Vidyard
Three rivals show up beside Loom on the pages that rank for its pricing. I read each one's own pricing page on 27 October 2026. The prices below are for one person, and I am not ranking them.
| Tool | Plan | Billed monthly | Billed yearly, per month | Free tier |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Loom | Business | $18 | $15 | Starter: 25 videos, five-minute recordings |
| Loom | Business + AI | $24 | $20 | Starter, as above |
| Zight | Create | $12.95 | $9.95 | Share: five-minute recordings, 1 GB storage |
| Zight | Collaborate | $15.00 | $12.00 | Share, as above |
| Tella | Pro | $26 | $13 | None listed |
| Tella | Premium | $39 | $19 | None listed |
| Vidyard | Starter | $89 | $59 | Free: 5 videos a month, up to 30 minutes each |
Each vendor's own pricing page, US dollars per user or seat per month, read 27 October 2026. Zight, Tella and Vidyard all open on annual billing; Loom's yearly column is $180 and $240 divided by 12.
Zight's Create plan includes "5 AI smart actions per month", and Collaborate, the plan Zight marks "Most popular", raises that to "Unlimited AI + Smart Actions".

Tella lists no free plan, only Pro, Premium and Enterprise, though its FAQ mentions free trials without giving a length. Every plan records up to six hours per clip. Tella meters its AI editor in its own unit, credits: 3,000 a month on Pro and 6,000 on Premium. Its annual switch carries a "50% off" badge.

Vidyard is built for sales teams. As of October 2026 its Starter plan costs $89 a seat monthly or $59 billed yearly, with a 14-day trial, and its free plan allows 5 videos a month of up to 30 minutes. Loom records meetings now too. If call notes are the real job, I price the dedicated tools in AI note takers priced for a team and in what Otter charges for meeting notes.
Which Loom plan should you pick?
Start with how often you record and how long the videos run. Then count heads. On October 2026 prices, I would route it like this:
- A few short walkthroughs a month: Starter.
- Daily recording, or videos longer than five minutes: Business, billed yearly if you will keep it for twelve months.
- Summaries, chapters and meeting recaps: Business + AI, budgeted for every paid seat, because Loom will not sell it to half a team.
- 101 to about 160 people: price twelve monthly bills on the calculator before you sign the annual tier.
- A Jira or Confluence shop: price Teamwork Collection Standard first.
- A student, teacher, nonprofit or open source project: apply for the discount before you pay list price.
If you are choosing between this and a general AI subscription, my guide to which AI subscription is worth paying for prices the chat plans side by side.
If most of your Looms are short videos for cold prospects, the slow part is usually deciding who gets one. Gravity, my company, is in public beta: you type the job and an agent someone built runs it. The Lead gen agent in Gravity's catalog in October 2026 finds companies that would buy what you sell and the right person at each, checks that person against their own profile, and drafts a first email in two versions; it sends only what you approve. It does not record your screen, watch your Looms or join meetings, so keep Loom for the video itself. Your first 3 agent runs are free; the Free plan costs $0 with no card, and Mini Pilot is $15 a month. Explore agents
FAQ
1. How much does Loom cost?
As of 27 October 2026, Loom's US prices are $0 for Starter, $18 a user a month for Business and $24 for Business + AI on monthly billing. Billed yearly, Business is $180 a user ($15 a month) and Business + AI $240 ($20 a month), with user tiers from 26 users. Enterprise is a custom quote on annual terms only.
2. Is Loom free?
Yes. Starter costs $0 and gives each person 25 videos, archived ones included, with five-minute screen recordings, 720p quality, unlimited screenshots, unlimited meeting recording length and auto titles, as of October 2026. A free workspace created after February 2026 holds up to 10 users.
3. Why does my Loom have a 5 minute limit?
The free Starter plan caps each screen recording at five minutes: the timer starts at 5:00 and counts down, and the recording ends at 0:00. Business and the plans above it remove the cap. Record for agents, a Business + AI and Enterprise feature in open beta, also stops at five minutes.
4. How much is Loom Business + AI, and can I add AI to Business?
Business + AI is $24 a user a month on monthly billing or $240 a year, as of October 2026, which is $6 a month or $60 a year more than Business. There is no separate AI add-on, and Loom says you cannot buy Business + AI for only part of a team, so every paid seat moves up together.
5. Does Loom charge for viewers?
Not for people who only watch. Loom prices Business and Business + AI by Creators and admins, and anyone watching a video shared by link needs no Loom account. On accounts created after February 2026, every member of a paid workspace is a paid user, because there is no free Creator Lite seat.
6. Should I buy Loom on loom.com or atlassian.com?
The price is the same: both pages print the same plans and the same calculator, as of October 2026. New sign-ups on either go through an Atlassian account and follow Atlassian's rules, including the 10-user free cap, annual user tiers and Atlassian's refund window. The loom.com page still prints some older rules, such as 50 free members.
7. Is there a Loom student or education discount?
Yes. An Atlassian Classroom license takes 75% off Business and Business + AI for students and teachers, who must be 16 or older and apply with a school email, and academic institutions get 50% off, Enterprise included. Loom says its free education plan is no longer available to new applicants.
8. Does Loom have a nonprofit discount?
Yes. Atlassian's Social Impact license makes Loom Business and Business + AI free for eligible nonprofits up to 25 seats, on annual billing only, and takes 50% off Enterprise. Atlassian says approval takes two to three days.
9. Is there a Loom free trial?
Yes. New workspaces can try Business + AI free for 14 days, with no user cap during the trial; without a payment method at the end, a workspace of 10 users or fewer drops to Starter and a larger one is deactivated after a 14-day grace period. Education plans get no trial, and Enterprise trials are arranged through sales case by case.
10. Can I get a refund on Loom?
On Atlassian billing, which covers every account created after February 2026, monthly plans can be refunded within the first paid month after the trial and annual plans within 30 days of payment. After that Atlassian offers no refunds, and seats removed partway through a monthly cycle earn no credit.
11. Does Loom record Zoom meetings?
Yes. Meeting recording is on every Loom plan, Starter included, and the Loom Notetaker joins Zoom, Google Meet and Teams calls and records them at 1080p. Meeting notes and recaps need Business + AI or Enterprise.
12. Is Loom included with Jira or Confluence?
Not with Jira or Confluence alone. Atlassian's Teamwork Collection bundles all three: Standard, at $15 a user a month as of October 2026, includes Loom Business, and Premium, at $29, includes Business + AI.
