On this page

Your team already lives in monday.com boards. Then the product starts calling itself an AI Work Platform, a Risk Analyzer appears in a panel, and somebody has to decide whether it does real work.

I read monday.com's pricing page, its agent pages and its Q2 2026 investor release on 11 September 2026. I have not run its agents on my own boards, so this is monday's published numbers plus arithmetic I did on them.

The figure that settled it for me was five.

That is how many messages a day monday sidekick gives you on the tier bundled with a Standard or Pro seat. Hardly anyone writing about monday's AI prints that number.

This is not a side project, either. monday.com reported Q2 2026 revenue of $364.6 million, up 22% year over year, and co-CEOs Roy Mann and Eran Zinman said ARR from AI products doubled from Q1 to 17% of net new ARR.

TL;DR

monday.com's AI agents in eight lines

  1. Twelve agents, named on monday's own page: Risk Analyzer, Lead Scorer, Ticket Assignment, Sales Agent and eight more.
  2. AI starts at Basic. Seats run $9 Basic, $12 Standard, $19 Pro, per seat a month billed yearly.
  3. Credits are the meter: 1,000 a month on Basic, 2,000 on Standard, 3,000 on Pro, at $0.01 each.
  4. My arithmetic: a Basic seat at $9 billed yearly arrives with $10 of AI at list price.
  5. The real ceiling is monday sidekick: five messages a day on the tier included with Standard and Pro.
  6. Digital Workforce is a phrase from monday's marketing copy. There is no feature by that name.
  7. Turn it on if your work already lives in monday boards.
  8. Look elsewhere for an assistant you talk to all day, or for a job that crosses tools monday does not hold.
How monday.com's included AI credits convert into usable work on each work-management plan

What monday.com ships under the word "agent"

monday.com's agent page lists twelve entries. Eleven are prebuilt jobs with a one-line description; the twelfth, Custom Agents, is the door to building your own.

The twelve agents monday.com lists by name

The descriptions below are monday's own, quoted from that page on 11 September 2026.

AgentWhat monday.com says it does
Risk Analyzer"Detects schedule, dependency, and workload risks across projects in real time"
RSVP Manager"Tracks invites, responses, and how many spots are left"
Vendor Researcher"Gathers vendor details like pricing, security, reviews, and contract terms"
Translator Agent"Quickly translates texts while ensuring accuracy of key details"
Meeting Summarizer"Creates meeting notes, transcripts, and summaries for you"
Ticket Assignment"Detects ticket intent, urgency, and required expertise to resolve"
Reference Collector"Schedules calls with candidates' references and captures their feedback"
Lead Scorer"Scores leads using fit, intent, and engagement signals across your funnel"
Sentiment Detector"Detects sentiment shifts across tickets, emails, and feedback in real time"
Lead Agent"Automatically sources and enriches prospects"
Sales Agent"Qualifies and books meetings automatically"
Custom Agents"Create your own unique agents, tailored to your exact needs and processes"

monday.com agent page, read 11 September 2026.

Read down the right-hand column and a pattern surfaces. Nearly every one of these works on a board you already keep: tickets, candidates, leads, vendors, invites, dependencies. So a monday agent is worth roughly what your board discipline is worth, and no vendor page prices that for you.

Vendors use the word agent for very different things, from a chat box to a scheduled worker with its own permissions. What an AI agent actually is sets out the difference.

sidekick, magic, vibe and AI Blocks are not agents

This is where the pricing page trips people up, because these things are metered differently.

  • monday sidekick is, in monday's words, "an intelligent, context-aware AI assistant built directly into monday.com". It is available on all monday.com workspaces with no setup required.
  • monday magic turns a plain-language prompt into a workflow or a board.
  • monday vibe is AI-enhanced app building, and the only part of the stack with published per-action credit rates.
  • AI Blocks are steps inside an automation: Categorize, Summarize, Extract Information, Translate, Detect Sentiment, Write, Improve Text and a Custom Block.
  • monday MCP lets outside AI tools reach your monday data, and monday states that every plan includes it at no extra cost.

AI Notetaker and AI Workflows sit alongside these. None of them appears on the agent page.

Three naming mistakes worth avoiding

First, it is monday sidekick: lowercase m, no AI in the name. Several write-ups have invented a product called AI Sidekick. It does not exist.

Second, Digital Workforce is a phrase from monday's marketing copy. It shows up in launch headlines and blog body copy, and searching your admin panel for it will cost you ten minutes.

Third, sidekick and the agents are not interchangeable, and swapping them gets the pricing wrong. monday publishes credit rates for vibe calls and names AI Block automations as drawing on the pool, but publishes nothing for the agents themselves, so what an agent run draws is unstated. sidekick is separately capped by messages a day on the included tier. So "monday's AI agent has a five-message limit" describes sidekick, not Risk Analyzer.

What monday's AI agents cost

You do not buy the agents separately. You buy a monday work management seat, and the plan decides how much AI comes with it.

PlanPer seat a month, billed yearlyAI credits included a month
Free$0, free forever (2 seats, 3 boards)Disputed, see below
Basic$91,000
Standard$122,000
Pro$193,000
EnterpriseCustom, contact sales"Custom AI credits matched to how your team actually works"

monday work management plans only, from monday.com's pricing page on 11 September 2026, at the yearly per-seat rate. I am not printing monthly prices: that toggle is JavaScript and returned the yearly figures again. monday CRM, dev and service are priced separately.

Always reconcile a pricing page that defaults to a seat count. monday's defaults to 10 seats and showed $90, $120 and $190, dividing cleanly into $9, $12 and $19.

Does the Free plan get AI credits? monday's own pages disagree

The pricing page says AI is "Available from Basic", which puts the Free plan outside the AI features. Two posts on monday's blog say the Free plan gets 500 free AI credits a month.

Both are monday.com. I am not resolving it for them, and I would be wary of any article that quietly picks one and prints it as fact.

Treat the pricing page as the commercial truth, since it is what monday bills from. If a free allowance changes your decision, get it in writing.

Credit pools, per-seat fees and per-run billing price the same work very differently once volume is real. AI agent pricing explained walks through each model.

The credit arithmetic, seat by seat

At $0.01 per credit, the included allowances are worth $10 a month on Basic, $20 on Standard and $30 on Pro. Two monday surfaces agree on that unit price: the pricing page math, where 1,000 credits comes to $10, and monday's blog.

Which gives an odd result at the bottom of the range. A Basic seat costs $9 a month billed yearly and arrives with $10 of AI at list price. The arithmetic here is mine, worked from monday's published numbers; monday does not present its credits this way.

monday's blog post of 25 August 2026 lists what draws on the pool: AI Block automations, AI-driven monday vibe app calls at 8 credits per call, vibe integration triggers at 2 credits per trigger, and monday sidekick messages on the Plus and Super tiers. Those two vibe rates are the only per-action prices I found.

Run them out:

  • 1,000 credits on Basic is 125 vibe app calls, or 500 integration triggers, or a mix.
  • 2,000 on Standard doubles that: 250 calls, or 1,000 triggers.
  • 3,000 on Pro is 375 app calls a month, about 17 a day across 22 working days.
  • Basic's 1,000 is roughly 45 credits a day, or five or six vibe app calls, before an AI Block automation touches the pool.

Now divide by people. monday's pricing page lists one credit number per plan. If that allowance is an account-level pool, a ten-person Standard team has 2,000 credits between them: 200 each a month, about nine a working day.

The plan table gives a single monthly figure and does not say whether it scales with seat count, so ask before sizing a rollout. The answer moves the maths by an order of magnitude.

Topping up is the same arithmetic in reverse: another 1,000 credits prices out at $10. monday does not publish an overage rate for monthly-billed accounts, so confirm how a top-up is charged.

Describe one recurring job to Gravity in a sentence and apply to the alpha. No card, and you see the result before paying.

Where monday's agents stop

Start with the number that matters most. monday sidekick gives you five messages a day on the tier that comes with Standard and Pro.

sidekick tierMessages a dayHow you get it
Sidekick Lite5Included with Standard and Pro
Sidekick Plus100Enterprise, or purchasable on Standard and Pro
Super Sidekick500Purchasable across all plans

monday.com blog, 25 August 2026, read 11 September 2026.

Five messages a day on a $19 Pro seat is not an assistant you build a habit around. It is a lookup you ration.

Lite is capped by message count, while Plus and Super draw on your credit pool, per that same August post. Either way there is a meter.

The rest of the limits, roughly in the order they will bite:

  • The Free plan is out. The pricing page puts AI at Basic and above.
  • Basic gets a limited set. The plan table labels its agent workforce "Limited", with full access on the higher tiers.
  • Credits renew monthly and do not roll over, according to monday.com's support documentation. Those pages returned an error when I tried to load them, so that limit is monday's documentation speaking. I could not read it first-hand.
  • Agents are supervised by design. Reporting on the May 2026 launch describes them operating "under human supervision" and bound by "existing security, permissions and governance controls" (SiliconANGLE, 6 May 2026).

What monday.com does not publish

Four gaps came up repeatedly, and each is a question for a salesperson.

  • Region and language restrictions for the AI features. monday.com does not publish any, and silence is not a promise there are none.
  • Monthly-billed per-seat prices, in a form I could extract reliably.
  • Trial credit allowances. I found three figures that contradict each other.
  • A credit cost per agent run. monday publishes the vibe rates and leaves agent consumption unstated.

Get those four in writing before a rollout.

Status reporting is the job people most often ask an agent for on monday.com, and it tests whether your board data is clean. An AI agent for monday.com status updates covers that.

Who should turn this on, and who should not

monday's best case first, because it is a strong one. If your work already lives in monday boards, these agents sit closer to your data than any outside tool can. Risk Analyzer reads schedule and workload information you already maintain.

Match your case to one of these

Turn it on when

  • Your work already runs in monday boards and they stay current
  • You are on Standard or Pro, where the bigger pool and the included sidekick tier appear
  • The job is one of the twelve, particularly sales and tickets
  • You want automation inside the board, not a second tool

Keep looking when

  • You are on the Free plan, since AI starts at Basic
  • You wanted an assistant to talk to all day
  • The task crosses systems monday does not hold: an inbox, a bank feed, a spreadsheet nobody migrated
  • Usage is heavy or bursty and a fixed monthly pool is the wrong shape

The financials tell you how to buy. AI made up 17% of net new ARR in Q2 2026, so it is real revenue, and the large majority of new ARR still came from everything else monday sells. Buy monday for the board and let the agents be the bonus.

If the decision hinges on one job, the neighbouring posts go deeper: keeping monday.com workflow status current and the Jira equivalent for backlog grooming. AI agents versus workflow automation settles the scheduled-automation question, and the best workflow automation tools covers the wider category.

Where Gravity fits

Gravity is my company, so weigh this accordingly. It is a different shape of tool, not a better monday.

monday sells the place where work is tracked, and its agents act on that record. Gravity sells the finished worker for a recurring job: you describe the task in plain words, an agent someone has already built runs it, and anything customer-facing waits for your approval.

The plan shape is the honest comparison here. monday meters its AI in credits you can exhaust and caps sidekick by messages a day. Gravity's plans are not described in credits at all.

Best for
A recurring job that crosses tools: chasing an overdue invoice, collecting documents, triaging an inbox.
Pricing
First agent free, no card. Then Autopilot at $20 a month worldwide, ₹1,999 a month in India, with a lot of usage included. India also has Minipilot at ₹399 a month with a smaller allowance. Buy more usage if you run out. As of September 2026.
Not for
Replacing monday.com. If your projects live in boards, keep the boards.
Verdict
Worth a look when the job sits outside what your project tool can see.

If AI is the reason for a monday upgrade, it helps to know what the same money buys elsewhere: the cheapest AI agent platforms and the ones under $50 a month.

FAQ

Does monday.com have AI agents?

Yes. Its agent page lists twelve entries, including Risk Analyzer, Ticket Assignment, Lead Scorer and Sales Agent, plus Custom Agents for building your own. The pricing page puts AI at Basic and above.

How much do monday.com AI agents cost?

There is no separate agent price. monday work management seats are $9 Basic, $12 Standard and $19 Pro, per seat a month billed yearly, each carrying 1,000, 2,000 and 3,000 AI credits a month. Read 11 September 2026.

What is a monday AI credit worth?

monday prices credits at $0.01 each, so the included allowances list at $10, $20 and $30 a month. The published per-action rates are 8 credits for an AI-driven monday vibe app call and 2 for a vibe integration trigger.

Does the monday.com Free plan get AI credits?

monday's own pages disagree. The pricing page says AI is available from Basic, while two posts on monday's blog say the Free plan gets 500 AI credits a month. I would treat the pricing page as the commercial answer.

What is monday sidekick?

monday describes it as an intelligent, context-aware AI assistant built directly into monday.com, available on all monday.com workspaces with no setup required. The tier included with Standard and Pro allows five messages a day.

Is Digital Workforce a monday.com product?

No. The phrase appears in monday's marketing copy and in headlines about the launch, and there is no feature by that name to switch on. What you can enable is the agents, monday sidekick, AI Blocks, monday magic and monday vibe.
