On this page

I typed agent.ai into a browser on 10 October 2026. I landed on builderpack.com.

No farewell page. No export screen. Just a product page for a pack of AI actions that plug into HubSpot's Agent Builder.

So I tried the deeper links: agent pages, builder profiles, the old pricing page. Every one returned a permanent redirect to the same place.

If you used agent.ai to find an agent someone else built and run it, that door is shut. Here is what I could verify about the closure, and five places the work can go instead, with prices as I read them on 10 October 2026.

TL;DR

Five agent.ai alternatives, one line each

  1. You already pay for HubSpot Professional: HubSpot Agent Builder with BuilderPack, the place agent.ai now points. It is not available on Free or Starter portals.
  2. You want a big shelf of pre-built agents and you like to tinker: MindStudio. Free for one agent, then $20 a month plus usage.
  3. Your agents drafted emails and prepped meetings: Lindy, with $50 of free credits for 7 days, then $49.99 per user a month.
  4. The agent was one step in a bigger workflow: Zapier, where agents became an AI step inside Zaps on 6 October 2026.
  5. You want the task done with nothing to build: Gravity. Ready-made agents, first one free, in private alpha. It is my product.

What agent.ai was, and what I could verify about the closure

HubSpot introduced agent.ai at INBOUND in September 2024. CX Today described it as HubSpot's network of autonomous AI agents, pitched to the conference crowd by co-founder and CTO Dharmesh Shah.

By May 2026 the homepage called itself "the #1 professional network for AI agents". You could discover agents other people had built, use them, or build your own. The menu split the same way: an Agent Network for users, a Builder Network for makers.

The June 2026 pricing page survives in the Internet Archive. Every Pro and Premium agent was free to try. A single Premium agent cost $10 a month. Pro covered every Pro agent for $25 a month.

agent.ai's pricing page as the Internet Archive captured it on 1 June 2026: Premium agents at $10 a month each, or every Pro agent for $25 a month.

Then the site went away. This is the timeline the Internet Archive supports:

  • 29 July 2026: the archive still captured agent.ai's own site.
  • 4 August 2026: the homepage answered with a permanent redirect.
  • 27 August 2026: that redirect led to BuilderPack, a product "made by HubSpot Labs".
  • 10 October 2026: every agent.ai address I tested, including agent and profile pages, redirected there too.

What I could not find: a public shutdown notice, an exact closing date, a user count at the end, or an export path for agents people built. I won't guess at any of them. If you had an account, search your inbox for mail from agent.ai. That notice, if one went out, is the only source for what happened to your agents.

How I compared them

agent.ai's promise was simple. Find an agent, give it an input, get a result. So I judged each replacement on how close it gets to that loop, and on what it costs to stay there.

  • Ready-made or build-it-yourself. Can you run a finished agent on day one, or do you start from a blank canvas?
  • Entry price, from each pricing page on 10 October 2026.
  • What the meter counts. Runs, tasks, seats or credits decide the real bill, so I read the fine print under every plan.
  • What else you need first. One option needs a HubSpot subscription before you can start.
  • Free tier. Whether you can test the replacement before you pay for it.

I read pricing pages, help-centre articles and docs. I did not buy the paid plans. Where a vendor publishes no number, the table says so.

Most agent.ai agents did one job from one input: research a prospect, analyse a web page, draft a cold email. If yours did, write that job down in one sentence and apply to the alpha with it as your first task. The first agent is free, no card.

1. HubSpot Agent Builder with BuilderPack: where agent.ai now sends you

builderpack.com on 10 October 2026, the page every agent.ai link now redirects to: AI actions for HubSpot Agent Builder, 19 actions, one HubSpot OAuth install.

This is the official destination. Click any old agent.ai link and you arrive here.

BuilderPack is 19 AI actions in four groups, covering research, enrichment and content. It installs into a HubSpot portal with one OAuth click and no API keys. You then drop the actions into a HubSpot workflow, or hand them to an agent you build in HubSpot's Agent Builder.

The entry ticket is the catch. BuilderPack's own setup guide says you need HubSpot Professional or Enterprise, because Agent Builder is not available on Free or Starter portals.

What changes if you move here

You trade a public shelf of agents for building your own inside your CRM. HubSpot's Agent Marketplace lists only HubSpot's pre-built agents, and custom agents made in Agent Builder cannot be listed there. The marketplace prices its agents' usage in HubSpot Credits.

Pros

  • The direct successor: HubSpot launched agent.ai, and HubSpot Labs makes BuilderPack
  • Works inside the HubSpot workflows and agents you already run
  • No API keys to manage

Cons

  • Needs a HubSpot Professional or Enterprise subscription before anything else
  • Nothing arrives ready-made from other users; you build each agent
  • No public price for BuilderPack on its site
Best for
Sales and marketing teams that already run on HubSpot Professional or Enterprise.
Pricing
Your HubSpot Professional or Enterprise plan; HubSpot's marketplace agents price usage in HubSpot Credits. BuilderPack listed no price of its own on 10 October 2026.
Free tier
None for Agent Builder. Free and Starter portals cannot use it.
Verdict
Right if HubSpot already runs your pipeline. A long detour if agent.ai was your only reason to touch HubSpot.

2. MindStudio: the biggest shelf of pre-built agents here

MindStudio's pricing page on 10 October 2026: Free with one agent at $0 a month plus usage, Individual with unlimited agents at $20 a month plus usage, and custom Business pricing.

MindStudio comes closest to agent.ai's two halves. Its pricing page lists access to 100+ pre-built agents, and the same account builds new ones.

The free plan gives you one agent and 1,000 runs a month. Individual costs $20 a month, or $16 a month billed yearly, for unlimited agents and unlimited runs. Business is priced on request.

Read the small words next to both prices: "+ usage". Model costs sit on top of the plan, so a heavy month costs more than the sticker. That is the one number the pricing page cannot give you in advance.

Who it suits

People who liked browsing agent.ai and also liked opening an agent up to change it. If you only ever ran other people's agents and never touched the builder, expect some setup work for anything the shelf does not already cover.

Pros

  • 100+ pre-built agents to start from
  • A free plan with 1,000 runs a month
  • Unlimited agents and runs on the $20 plan

Cons

  • Usage is billed on top of every plan, so monthly cost moves with volume
  • Built for making agents, so the long tail of jobs is yours to set up

Prices as of October 2026: Free $0 plus usage, Individual $20 a month plus usage, Business custom.

3. Lindy: for agents that lived in your inbox

Lindy's pricing page on 10 October 2026: Free with $50 in credits, Team at $49.99 a month for 5,000 credits, Enterprise on request.

Lindy builds assistant-style agents around email, calendar and Slack. If your favourite agent.ai agents drafted outreach or prepped you for meetings, this is the closest daily habit on the list.

On 10 October 2026 the pricing page offered a free start: $50 in credits, no card, valid for 7 days. After that, Team costs $49.99 a month per user for 5,000 credits. Top-ups cost $10 per 1,000 credits.

The cost scales with people, not jobs

Lindy's FAQ says every active user in the workspace is billed. Three colleagues who each run one small agent cost three seats. For a solo user that is fine. For a team that shared one agent.ai login, it is a real jump.

Pros

  • Strong on email, calendar and Slack work
  • A no-card trial with $50 of credits
  • You pick the model per task

Cons

  • $49.99 per active user adds up fast for a team
  • The free credits expire after 7 days
Best for
One person whose agents mostly handled email and meetings.
Pricing
Team from $49.99 per user a month for 5,000 credits, top-ups at $10 per 1,000. As of October 2026. The longer view is in Lindy alternatives.
Free tier
$50 of credits for 7 days.
Verdict
A good inbox assistant with a per-seat bill. Count your users before you count your agents.

4. Zapier: when the agent was one step of a bigger job

Zapier's announcement of 6 October 2026, Zapier Agents is now AI by Zapier, by Ruchira Kulkarni.

Zapier changed its own agent product four days before I wrote this. On 6 October 2026, Zapier Agents became AI by Zapier. The agent now lives as one AI step inside a Zap, and your connected apps become its tools.

Two details matter if you are arriving from agent.ai. Approvals are now set per tool, so an agent can read freely and still ask before it writes or sends. And the cost moved onto ordinary Zapier tasks.

How AI steps use up your tasks

Each AI step runs on a model tier. Standard counts 1x, Advanced 3x and Premium 5x, and new steps on paid plans default to Premium. One run costs the tier rate once, plus the tier rate again for every tool call. A Premium step that calls two tools therefore uses 15 tasks.

The free plan includes 100 tasks a month, but AI steps there only run as a preview inside an unpublished Zap. Professional starts at $19.99 a month and Team at $69, as of October 2026.

Already had agents on agents.zapier.com? Zapier converts each one into a Zap for you to test and publish. It has not set a date to switch the old Agents product off. Zapier alternatives that use AI has the wider picture.

Pros

  • Thousands of apps the agent can act in
  • Approval per tool, new with this change
  • Agent runs sit in the same history as every other Zap

Cons

  • Premium-tier steps burn tasks five at a time, more with tool calls
  • You still build the Zap around the agent
  • AI steps cannot be published on the free plan

Four of these five options ask you to build something: an agent in HubSpot, a project in MindStudio, a Zap around an AI step. If what you liked about agent.ai was not building, apply to the alpha and describe the job in a sentence. No card.

5. Gravity: ready-made agents, nothing to build

gravity.fast homepage: the prompt box where you type the job you want done.

I run Gravity. Weigh this section with that in mind.

For a user, Gravity is the closest to how agent.ai felt. You describe the task. An agent that already exists does it. You don't wire up a workflow, a canvas or a prompt chain.

Pricing as of October 2026: Basic is free with one agent and no card. Pro is $5 a month during the alpha, with up to three agents and usage included. Max is $20 a month. Run out of usage and you buy more.

The honest limits

Gravity is in private alpha, so you apply and wait for a spot. The catalogue is still growing, which means the exact agent you used on agent.ai may not be there yet. Tell us the job when you apply; that is how the next agents get picked.

Built agents on agent.ai yourself? The builder side has its own page: Gravity for builders.

Pros

  • Nothing to build or configure
  • Free for one agent, no card
  • A flat plan with usage included

Cons

  • Private alpha, so there is a wait
  • A catalogue that is still growing
  • My product, so discount my enthusiasm
Best for
A recurring job you want finished without building anything.
Pricing
Basic $0, Pro $5 a month in the alpha, Max $20 a month. See pricing.
Free tier
Yes. One agent, no card.
Verdict
The shortest path from "I used an agent.ai agent" to "the job runs again", if the agent you need is in the catalogue.

If you relied on agent.ai agents: what to do this week

  1. List every agent you used, what you gave it and what came back. That list is the spec for any replacement.
  2. Search your inbox for mail from agent.ai since July. Any notice about your account would be there.
  3. Save the outputs you still have: research briefs, page reviews, email drafts sitting in your docs or sent folder.
  4. Built agents yourself? Rewrite each one's instructions and inputs from memory while they are fresh.
  5. Match each job to one row of the table above, and test one job before you pay for anything.

Which one should you choose?

Your team lives in HubSpot Professional or Enterprise: HubSpot Agent Builder with BuilderPack. It is where agent.ai's own links point.

You liked browsing a big shelf and you are happy to tinker: MindStudio, starting free.

Your agents drafted emails and prepped meetings: Lindy, if $49.99 per user fits the budget.

The agent fed results into other apps: Zapier, on the Premium tier only when the job needs it.

You want the result without building anything: Gravity, with the first agent free.

You built agents for other people on agent.ai: read how AI agent marketplaces work before you choose a new home for them.

Still weighing cost across more tools: the cheapest AI agent platforms in 2026 lines up entry prices side by side.

FAQ

Did agent.ai shut down?

Its agent network is gone. As of 10 October 2026, every agent.ai URL I tested, including agent and profile pages, permanently redirects to builderpack.com, a HubSpot Labs product for HubSpot Agent Builder. I could not find a public shutdown notice.

When did agent.ai close?

I could not find a published date. The Internet Archive captured agent.ai's own site on 29 July 2026 and a permanent redirect on 4 August 2026. By 27 August the redirect pointed to BuilderPack.

What is BuilderPack?

A pack of 19 AI actions for research, enrichment and content, made by HubSpot Labs. It installs into a HubSpot portal with OAuth and works inside workflows or as tools for agents built in HubSpot Agent Builder. It needs a HubSpot Professional or Enterprise plan.

Can I still use the agents I had on agent.ai?

Not through agent.ai, because the site no longer serves them. Check your inbox for any notice from agent.ai, then replace each agent from a written list of what it did and what you gave it.

What is the cheapest agent.ai alternative?

Gravity's Basic plan is free for one agent with no card, and MindStudio's free plan covers one agent and 1,000 runs a month plus usage. Zapier's free plan includes 100 tasks a month, but AI steps only run as a preview there. Prices as of October 2026.

Is there an agent.ai alternative that does not need HubSpot?

Yes. MindStudio, Lindy, Zapier and Gravity all work without a HubSpot account. Only the BuilderPack route needs a HubSpot Professional or Enterprise subscription.
